Right Start 4 Kids Eliminates Many OOP Expenses for Dental Services for Kids ≤ 12

Delta Dental of Arkansas recently expanded its benefit schedule for kids 12 and younger that’s bound to make you smile.

We are offering Right Start 4 Kids^SM.

Right Start 4 Kids, or RS4K, pays 100% of most covered dental services for your children 12 and younger who are covered on your Delta Dental group plan.

That means:

• Goodbye, deductibles!
• Goodbye, co-insurance!
• Goodbye, waiting period!

Right Start 4 Kids = Right Results 4 Healthy Smiles and Family Budgets

Healthy teeth that last a lifetime originate in early childhood. Regular visits to the dentist, starting with baby teeth, help establish healthy habits and a positive attitude toward dental care. 

However, research shows that even parents with dental insurance hesitate to take their children to the dentist, partly because of concerns over out-of-pocket expenses like deductibles and co-insurance.

To reduce those worries, Delta Dental of Arkansas has added Right Start for Kids^SM to its Delta 1000, 1500, 2000 and 2500 dental plans for small businesses. RS4K is expanded benefit coverage for employees covered under those group plans.

RS4K eliminates deductibles, co-insurance and waiting periods for all covered services (except orthodontics) for kids 12 and under, such as

• check-ups
• ·oral exams
• X-rays
• sealants
• fillings, and
• crowns.

A couple of limitations apply. See below.

How to Use Right Start 4 Kids the Right Way

You may be thinking, “Practically no out-of-pocket expenses for me when my kids see the dentist? What’s the catch?”

There is no catch, but you’ll want to know a couple of restrictions so you (and your kids) can take full advantage of RS4K:

• RS4K is for kids 12 and under who are covered under your Delta Dental plan.
• Orthodontia is not eligible for coverage under RS4K.
• To receive the RS4K benefit, your children 12 and under must visit a network provider.  When dental care is obtained from an out-of-network provider, coverage levels will be reduced.
• The annual maximum still applies. 

RS4K for All Businesses

Any business not signing up for one of the small-group plans can request to add RS4K benefits to their quote.

Owners or benefits administrators of a mid-size or large business are encouraged to get in touch with their account manager to inquire about adding RS4K to their employee benefits package.
