Second Time Around | Delta Dental Relaunches Mobile App

Relaunched on a different technology platform in November 2021, the new app offers faster functionality and improved features. More about that in a bit. But first:

What do the existing Delta Dental Mobile App users need to do?

The old version will expire on Dec. 19, 2021, when it will be removed from the App Store and Google Play on iOS and Android devices. In other words, your existing app won’t update automatically and instead stop working. You will need to download the new app and remove the old one from your device.

But fear not. All saved information from the old app will be transferred to the new one, including

• Your username and password
• Preferred dentists
• Dependent information

How to download the new Delta Dental Mobile App

The app is available for free download to iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. To download, follow these easy steps: 

1. Scan this QR code or visit the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Android) and search for Delta Dental Mobile App. You’ll need an Internet connection to download the app and use most of its features.
2. Install as instructed.
3. Open and register or sign in by following the prompts. If you’ve forgotten your username or password, you can retrieve these via the app.

   Note: Only primary members can register and sign in.

4. Authenticate using biometrics if you like.

Functions available on the new mobile app

The new app creates a better, faster user experience thanks to the new technology platform. You’ll be able to access

• Your member ID
• The dentist finder
• The cost estimator
• Account management functions

Additional functions, such as claims, benefits and eligibility, will be added in 2022.

Security is a top priority

The Delta Dental Mobile App uses the latest security technology to protect your personal health information. You must enter your username and password or authenticate via biometrics to access the secure portion of the app. No personal health information is ever stored on your device.

Sign-in trouble?

If you can’t sign in to the new Delta Dental Mobile App, there could be two reasons:

• Your policy belongs to a dentist network that the mobile app does not support. Applies in some states only.
• You are not the primary member of the account. The app currently only supports primary member accounts.

However, anybody, including non-Delta Dental members, can use the dentist finder and cost estimator.
