It’s the most wonderful time of the year in Arkansas! Whether you live here or are just visiting for the holidays, here are our votes for some of the most exciting holiday traditions in Arkansas.

Best Bulbs Around

Searcy’s Living Nativity is an annual favorite. More than 200 volunteers are bringing the biblical story to life with camels, sheep, chickens, horses and more. Guests are treated to hot cocoa and a CD to play during the 12-minute drive through the Living Nativity. To date, more than 100,000 visitors have seen the production. Stick around in Searcy for the Holiday of Lights

If you’re closer to Fayetteville Downtown Square, check out the Lights of the Ozarks. The whole family will enjoy this brilliant display of more than 400,000 lights in addition to nightly activities like pony rides and pictures with Santa. You can enjoy this winter wonderland through December 31st.

Hot Springs, AR is home of the Holiday Lights at Garvan Woodland Gardens. As many as 4.5 million bright bulbs burn across 17 acres, creating an unforgettable holiday display. You can also enjoy an animated light show and see elves, reindeer and a lighted sleigh. This unique tradition is bright enough to make the Grinch smile.

A big tree, a jolly Santa, and a 140-foot front porch make for a cozy holiday getaway in Little Rock at The Capital Hotel. Stop by to see where you landed in their “Naughty or Nice” book this year.

Merry Music
Are you a fan of festive music? Get your fill from the South Arkansas Symphony in El Dorado during their popular Christmas Holiday concert. More than 100 singers sell out the show every year with a mix of hits and holiday selections.

Holiday Hunting
For many Arkansans, the last-minute dash doesn’t fall on Black Friday. November and December are prime time for hunters. You can find deer, bear, rabbit, quail, and more in Piney Creek throughout more than 500,000 acres of rugged Ozark Mountain terrain. Turkey hunting is most popular in Poison Springs, also home to deer, rabbits, and squirrels.

Football Fandom
If staying in to catch the Razorbacks is more in line with your holiday tradition, check out their schedule here. Don’t forget to pair your chicken or tofu wings with our tasty, sugar-free sauce.

No matter what holiday traditions in Arkansas spark your interest, bring friends and family to supply the seasonal smiles!
