Delta Dental of Arkansas Wins 12th Consecutive Best Places to Work Award
Delta Dental remains the only company to receive the award every year since survey’s inception
LITTLE ROCK, ARK—Delta Dental of Arkansas has earned its 12th consecutive Best Places to Work in Arkansas Award, continuing its streak as the only Arkansas business to receive this recognition every year since the program began in 2013.
Presented during a luncheon on September 17 in Little Rock by Arkansas Business Publishing Group and Workforce Research Group, the award is based on a comprehensive employee survey, which evaluates work environment, policies, career growth opportunities and more.
As the largest provider of dental benefits in the state, Delta Dental of Arkansas is a purpose-driven company, dedicated to creating a positive impact that begins with its 200+ employees. The company’s mission of championing healthy smiles for all Arkansans is deeply rooted in a culture of support, collaboration and integrity.
“I am humbled and grateful that year after year, our team builds a strong, values-driven work environment,” said President and CEO Kristin Merlo. “The Best Places to Work recognition is not simply an endorsement of executive leadership or generous benefits. Rather, it’s a testament to our employees’ commitment to serving each other across all levels. They inspire each other to achieve exceptional things for our customers and members—something worth smiling about every day.”
Delta Dental’s success can be attributed to several factors, including an open-systems management style, competitive salaries and bonuses, a robust employee benefits package and consistent investment in workforce training and professional development. Responding to emerging labor trends, the company recently introduced additional, fully paid 4-week maternity/paternity/adoption leave and cultural competency training as part of its DEI initiatives.
To be considered in the annual Best Places to Work in Arkansas survey, companies from across the state voluntarily pay a fee and undergo an evaluation based on employee feedback regarding workplace satisfaction, policies and career advancement options.
The full list of the 2024 honorees includes 50 small, mid-size and large companies and can be viewed at https://www.arkansasbusiness.com/supplements/arkansas-best-places-to-work/.
