Delta Dental of Arkansas Takes Twitter by Storm for National Children’s Dental Health Month
LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas - Join Delta Dental of Arkansas along with Delta Dental of Michigan, Delta Dental of Ohio and Delta Dental of Indiana on Wednesday, February 10th, as we tweet in celebration of National Children’s Dental Health Month. From 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., we hope to take Twitter by storm and tweet about the importance of children’s oral health, and its connection to overall health and school success.
Dental care has been identified as the largest unmet health need among children in the U.S. While student health is a strong predictor of academic success, too many children go to school each day with preventable health problems. In fact, children in the U.S. miss 51 million hours of school each year due to dental related illnesses, and children who have dental problems are four times more likely to have a lower GPA than children without dental problems .1 Share this information with colleagues and friends, and let’s make a difference this month for children’s oral health!
