Promoting innovative approaches to oral health in communities throughout Arkansas

 

The Delta Dental of Arkansas Foundation Mini Grant opportunity supports innovative, solution-based projects that make an impact in the field of oral health. Mini grants are intended to support smaller community-based oral health initiatives.

Grants are awarded up to $2,500 to Arkansas based non-profits addressing oral health in their communities. Focus areas typically funded through mini grants include:

  • Supply – Provide oral health supplies to members of community.
  • Educate – Educate the community about oral health.
  • Prevent – Partner with a dental professional to provide preventative services for those in need in your community.
  • Treat – Implement a project that connects those in need to dental treatment.

Interested organizations are encouraged to register with our online grant management site to apply.

 

 

 

Grant Process

Applications are accepted year round from January to December. Applications are evaluated on the first and third Thursday of every month, therefore completed applications must be received one week prior. Funding decisions are published on the first and third Friday of every month. Approved applicants can expect to receive funding two weeks after decision notification. Final reports are due with 60 days of the grant termination date entered in the application process.

Eligibility

The Delta Dental of Arkansas Foundation welcomes applicants from the state of Arkansas with active programs dedicated to improving the oral health and oral health equity of Arkansans.

The Foundation funds nonprofit organizations with active programs in the state of Arkansas holding a current tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, governmental agencies and educational facilities. The Foundation cannot award grants to individuals.

 

Evaluators

The Mini Grant evaluation committee is comprised of Delta Dental of Arkansas employees. These employees dedicate time outside of their role to evaluate applications for the Foundation.

Yes! The foundation staff welcomes discussions with potential applicants. You can request a call by emailing foundation@deltadentalar.com.

Funding received from The Delta Dental of Arkansas Foundation must be used for the project’s purposes as identified in the approved proposal.

If awarded funds, fund should be received with 2 weeks of funding notification.

Yes, absolutely. You will have an opportunity in the application to tell us how your ideas and initiative have evolved since last year.

Yes, an organization can apply for multiple mini grants as long as each grant proposal identifies a different project with different goals and objectives.

Yes, the Foundation requires a final grant report be submitted within 30 days of the grant termination date identified by the applicant.
